Based on Tanuki's coveted Yurai fabric, these jeans have been treated to a bio stonewash. It's an environmentally friendly method where they filter the water before they use it for the rice fields surrounding the factory. The result is a great vintage wash that really lets the texture pop. The stonewash changes the colour of both warp and weft which gives these jeans a truly unique shade of blue.
Yurai fabric is created by rope dying the yarn in natural indigo to create intense shades of blue that has a unique, beautiful fade with time. They then rope dyed the weft cobalt blue using natural indigo. The shorter exposure to oxygen between dips result in the lighter blue shade. The warp and weft together create a depth within the denim that is truly unique
